BarCampBank

Bar Camp Bank Dallas was a great success!  Hosted by the Garland Group the Bar Camp discussed many issues facing the financial institutions - the discussions were lively and very insightful.  Some of the topics discussed were: banking over the cell phone, new technology, how to web 2.0 your bank, new products, can we really put product development in the hands of the consumer?, credit card reward programs and their value, smart accounts, placing financial education videos on you tube, social networking among bank customers and many other topics.  All were open discussions and driven by the participants in the traditional Bar Camp format.  In total it was eight hours of intense discussion about improving banking.

De Novo Strategy would like to invite you to attend the BarCampBank Chicago on July 16th at the Drake Hotel in Chicago.  We expect the same interesting topics to be brought by our attendees with the same lively discussion.  We expect you will be able to take several ideas back so your banks, which will help you to serve your clients better and be more profitable.  After all its all about building smarter banks.

The De Novo Strategy Story

Because De Novo Strategy is all about Building Smarter BanksTM - we thought the story ...

Start A Commercial Bank

Local Bank

Let us help you start a smarter bank.  If you are interested in starting a commercial bank or community* bank that builds a quality brand based on exceptional service, we can help.  At De Novo Strategy, we make these opportunities a reality through the implementation of proven strategies to lead you and your de novo bank project to success.  Your goal, to establish a successful, profitable venture for all stakeholders involved, is our goal too.

The approval process to obtain a bank charter is cumbersome.  And bank regulators are looking for well-capitalized business plans that are spearheaded by experienced, innovative bankers.

*Community bank refers primarily to the bank's asset size, rather than the type of business the bank conducts or the bank charter under which it operates, for example, a state or national bank.

Bank Executive Survey

Grant Thornton 15th Annual Bank Executive Survey

The results are in and the outlook is bleak. Grant Thornton's 15th annual survey of bank executives indicates that bankers are gloomier than ever about the economy. Only 1 in 10 bankers surveyed claimed to be optimistic about the economy, while 54 percent were pessimistic. In the survey's 15-year history, the numbers have never been this extreme. Just three years ago, for example, only 3 percent of bankers said they were pessimistic.
